The signature
Brazilian sushi, born in São Paulo
It is not sushi with a twist. It has been Brazilian for a hundred years.
In 1908 the first Japanese families landed in São Paulo after three months at sea. A century later Brazil has the largest Japanese community outside Japan, and a sushi tradition of its own, with mango, cream cheese, passion fruit and crispy onion, built in Brazilian kitchens by Brazilian-Japanese chefs.
That is the sushi we serve. The delicacy of Japan meeting the colour and the sugar and the acidity of Brazil: raw fish everybody already loves, put together with flavours that do not appear anywhere in Tokyo.
What to order first
The signature sashimi selection if you want to see what the counter can do. The taco poke if you want the fusion argument made in one bite: raw fish in a taco shell, which is exactly the kind of thing this menu exists to do. The combo if there are two of you and you cannot decide.
Why the name matters
Some people hear "Brazilian sushi" and assume it is a marketing invention. It is a real culinary category with a documented origin, and it is what people search for. So we use the term, and then we explain it. That is this page.
