The bar
A bar worth the trip
Caipirinha, pisco sour, mezcal, and a room that does half the work.
The bar here is not the waiting area for a table. It runs from the afternoon, with a first drink on the terrace while the light goes, through dinner and into the night, and plenty of people never eat and never feel they have missed the point.
The South American canon is the backbone: caipirinha with proper cachaça, pisco sour with the foam it is supposed to have, mezcal for the people who know what they are doing. Then the signature list, which leans tropical and is best explained by whoever is behind the bar.
The afternoon drink
Five in the afternoon on the upper terrace, under the hanging garden, before the room fills. It is the best seat in the building and almost nobody knows to ask for it.
